A New Identity - Same Exceptional Resources and Experience

When I founded 327 Solutions, Inc. in October 2014, I couldn't have anticipated the enjoyment I'd find in the experiences along the way. From collaborating with Fortune 20 companies in the entertainment, communications, and healthcare sectors to partnering with major defense teams, it's been quite a journey. We began as a small boutique training company, specializing in contingent training staffing, outsourced workshop and eLearning design, and providing flexible support for organizational learning and development needs.

This situation remained largely the same, but as cybersecurity emerged as one of the fastest-growing sectors, we naturally received an increasing number of requests related to cybersecurity, risk management, audit, regulatory compliance alignment, and other similar areas. This development led 327 Solutions, Inc. to focus on these areas for several years until the onset of Covid-19.

Everyone has a story from the Covid days, and 327 Solutions, Inc. is one of them. As we were traveling trainers globally supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) to meet workforce regulatory requirements, essentially on March 12, 2020, we were shut down. Planes landed, orders fell short, and the world changed. Oh yeah, I also has to home school my children, as everyone came home.

During the Covid pandemic, I had the opportunity to volunteer with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), assisting in mapping out training for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) or DFARS 7012. The true adventure began when I connected with two global thought leaders and contributed to The Augusta Plan. This document was reviewed by OSD, the Cyberspace Solarium Commission v1, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Ernst & Young (EY). This marked the beginning of a global journey into cybersecurity, risk management, regulatory compliance, governance and oversight, and other exciting areas.

As businesses began reopening, we shifted our focus to become a training firm, rather than just a trainer staffing team, and enjoyed this change for a while. However, the training markets have seen significant consolidation. Esteemed firms such as InfoSec Institute, Dion Learning, Web Age Solutions, Exit Certified, and Knowlogy Corporation have been acquired by private equity funds. This centralization has led to substantial changes in the retail training markets, while organizations like Pluralsight and Udemy are commoditizing training programs (at the time of writing, I can purchase a video-based CISSP training class for only $12.99). Retail training has evolved, and consequently, so has 327 Solutions.

We are excited to unveil our new website, focus, and future. In some ways, it's similar to the past (excellent training and resources), but now we are leveraging our extensive expertise in emerging fields, assisting organizations in addressing unspoken workforce gaps with custom training design, delivery, staffing, coaching, and more.

We are already developing tailored training for insurance underwriters and internal auditors, and we look forward to applying our substantial knowledge and resource advancements from the past few years to your organization.

So, follow us today, and keep an eye out for weekly posts, new ideas, and ways we can address the cybersecurity and AI risk management and governance gaps from the boardroom to the shop floor, helping your team ensure readiness and compliance.

Sincerely,

Brian D. McCarthy
